What is 100% Polyester Microfiber Fabric?
100% Polyester Microfiber Fabric is made from ultra-fine polyester fibers. It is much smaller than a strand of silk. These microfibers are tightly woven together. It’s creating a dense yet soft fabric. Typically, each fiber is thinner than a human hair (about 0.7 denier or less). Therefore it gives the material its signature softness and lightweight feel.
Typically, microfiber comprises fibers that are 0.5 to 1.0 denier (a unit of measurement for fiber thickness). Silk measures about 1.25 deniers for perspective, making microfiber thinner and more delicate.
